Meet the
Commanders of the

Raid on the
Sher-Li Temple
or: The Fort of Jewel-Eye

 A combined birthday,
a group reunion, the Fourth of July,
and the Major General's 50,000-hits celebration

AN EVENT THIS SPECIAL REQUIRES MORE THAN A FUNNY HAT...

Alan as Commodore Plymsoll-Lynne, captained the gunboat carrying the Governor's British troops. He is seen here impersonating a Ral Partha figure.

Max commanded the Sher natives and the British/Punjabi sepoys at the fort as Capt. Alfred Hyde-Davis.

Carol played sharpshooting Sister Clarissa and commanded the civilians at the mission school.

Steve and David, broomhandle Mausers and exotic blades at the ready, played dreaded Skumzzolean pirate chieftans Junk Sank Sosumi and Hoo Flung Dung.

Charles was Capt.'Biff' Plotz, US Marine Corps, officer commanding the American landing party at Sher-Li.

Carol wonders just what sort of man is made delirious by a pop-bottle zeppelin. "Well, at least he's out of that stupid pirate outfit..."

(Little does she realize he is still wearing the official Brotherhood of the Coast skull ring.)

Under the terrible strain of battle, Charles gives a tape-measure the white-knuckle grip.

Norton, die Luftschiffkatz, considers whether there might be fish in that cellophane water.

A Reassuring Note for the Easily Alarmed - The weaponry in these photos is plastic - cheap costume swords and water pistols, painted and given that menacing glint with silver buffing paste.
The cigar and little flag are real, though.
