Howdah for
Hunting Elephants
Print out the image, and check the size by measuring the 1-inch (25.4mm) bar.
If the size is not correct, reprint at an appropriate reduction/enlargement. Print your final copy on heavy buff or cream colored paper, or better yet, thin card. Using a sharp hobby knife, cut out the outside surface and fold up the howdah, gluing at the tab.
Then, cut separate panels out of the inside surface, test fit them, and glue them into the inside faces of the howdah. Cut both layers at the indicated CUT points on the front wall and bend the narrow top panel outward at about 45degrees. Bend the pads (hanging down from the howdah) outward, and curve them back inward as in the photos.
